Welcome to the Research Group Software Construction
We are part of the Department of Computer Science 3 (Software Engineering) at RWTH Aachen University . The group is headed by Prof. Dr. H. Lichter.
Our current research is focused on various kinds of metric-based process evaluation and improvement approaches, the modeling and simulation of business processes and workflows as well as on advanced use case requirements modeling. We are developing dedicated tool support for those areas.
The approaches and tools developed in our group are validated in various industry cooperations.
Our teaching activities are centered around software engineering topics like object-oriented software construction, software quality assurance and project management, and include as well the practical application of the introduced approaches in laboratories and seminars.
